HR Recruit is excited to partner with a healthcare-sector SME to support a standalone role that reports directly to the Operations Manager. The Human Resources Manager is responsible the day-to-day operations related to HR for the practice and supporting the organization’s people strategy.
This role plays a key part in fostering a positive work environment, managing employee relations, implementing HR policies, processing payroll, managing benefits and ensuring compliance with labor regulations for NY, NJ and FL.
The HR Manager will partner with leadership and work closely with operations manager to support talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, and HR operational processes.

HR Manager Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Manage all core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and training.
  • Advise and support managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance.
  • Oversee the payroll and work with ADP on processing.
  • Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, partnering with vendors where necessary.
  • Lead efforts to maintain a positive and engaging workplace culture and drive employee engagement initiatives.
  • Manage employee relations issues, conducting investigations and guiding conflict resolution processes as needed.
  • Monitor HR metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-fill, engagement survey results) and provide reports to senior leadership.
  • Ensure HR records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with legal requirements and company policy.
  • Coordinate employee performance appraisal programs and guide managers on coaching and development strategies.
  • Administer HR systems (HRIS) and ensure efficient HR processes and reporting.
  • Stay current on labor laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Conduct audits as required.
  • Travel to locations in NJ and NY as needed

Person Specification/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5  years of HR generalist experience
  • Solid understanding of U.S. labor laws, HR compliance, and employee relations best practices.
  • Proven ability to partner with leadership and employees to solve people-related challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing or implementing HR projects such as engagement programs or performance initiatives.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and HR data reporting.

In return you will receive a salary of between 90k to 115k (depending on experience)
